Thousands of children given false hope with promises of education and jobs recruited to wage war in Somalia in clear violation of international human rights laws.
According to reports more than half of Somalia’s armed forced is comprised of children. Soldiers as young as 9-years old have beeen taught to carry ammo, transport explosives and more. All of these children, at least 6,000 according to reports are said to be recruits for al-Shabab and other groups in the country.
