Comedian Trevor Noah has a solution for white people who place unnecessary calls to the police. On Monday he offered a solution during a segment of his namesake show “The Daily Show with Trevor Noah”.
After several incidents have captured the nation including the white woman in Oakland, California who called the police on a family barbecue in the park and the Black Yale student who fell asleep in the dormitory after studying all night and was forced to validate her enrollment to several officers.
Although this issue has been ongoing in the Black community, it’s just now getting more attention in the media.
“I think a lot of white people call the police the way that they do because there’s no price to pay,” the host explained. “Maybe you need to make it so that white people have a price to pay.”
Noah continued with his proposal, “If you call 911, there’s a $5 charge and then you get your money back if there’s a crime… If there’s no crime, they take the $5 for administration fees and if you’re wasting people’s time then you get charged $1000.”
The audience applauded the host’s suggestions and some social media users seemed to agree also.
Trevor Noah is right.
A false 911 call should be treated the same as a False alarm charge.— Anthony Chatman (@TonyZam) May 16, 2018
Saw the vid on FB. I thought what this drama woman did was bullshit, especially in the end when she started crying when the cop showed up, saying how she’s “being harassed” I agree with @Trevornoah Pple should be reprimanded for shit like this. Cops have better things to do, man.

Noah added, “If people knew they would lose money in this thing, I think people would be a lot more -meticulous… If you know you’re going to lose $1000, we’ll see how quickly you’ll call the cops.”
