While many flocked to the various marches and protests throughout the United States and around the world during Trump’s Inauguration there were some who steered clear of the events as they saw past emotion and looked deeper than the pop-culturized form of feminism bantered about when it came to their actions.

Jamilah Lemieux is one such person and her opinion piece gives a perspective many voiced but were not largely heard.
