#Jimmy Iovine, who is the head of Apple Music and ex chairman of Interscope Records is reportedly stepping down this upcoming August. His expertise has brought in over 30 million paying customers monthly ever since he launched Apple Music back in 2015. Iovine joined Apple Music after selling Beats to Apple, which he co-founded with Dr. Dre back in 2014 for $3 billion.

Billboard reported that sources said the main reason for his departure is for the fact that his shares in Apple Music are fully vested. He had to stay with Apple for a certain amount of time before he could weigh out his options.

Iovine told Billboard back in September that he wishes to continue growing and perfecting streaming services.
