Ginuwine is in the hot seat because he refused a kiss from a transgender woman.

Ginuwine Gets Slammed for not Kissing Transgender Woman. Is it Fair?

Recently on the television show Big Brother UK R&B hit maker Ginuwine refused to kiss transgender journalist India Willoughby. India was caught on-air asking Ginuwine if he liked transgender women. The crooner stated he would not and despite such India proceeded to try and kiss him.

Ginuwine refused the kiss and in anger India stormed off the set.

Up until now, we thought no meant no. It doesn’t matter if you’re gay, straight, rich, poor, transgender or not. If someone says no, the current (and correct) action is a person (any person) should respect this.

We don’t understand how Ginuwine is transphobic and on the hot seat about this issue. If the roles were reversed some  are stating that it would be an outcry that India was sexually assaulted on national television (Charlamagne Tha God, Malibu Dollface for two examples). Or that if India was not transgender that there would be no discussion about it.

This appears to be in complete contradiction of the #timesup movement. The situation that took place was wrong, especially after Ginuwine clearly stated and said no beforehand.

It would be good to learn what the community thinks about Ginwine, transphobia, homophobia and what happened.

How are you feeling about this?

What do you think?
