Erin Jackson is the first Black Woman to qualify for U.S. Olympic Team for Long-track Speed-Skating

Erin Jackson, who is 25 years old finished third in the women’s 500m in 39.04 seconds on Friday at the U.S. Olympic speed skating trials. Her 3rd finish was enough to earn her a spot on the Olympic team for the 2018 Pyeong-Chang Olympic Games. She also made history as the first Black Woman to ever make an U.S. Olympic Long-track speed skating team. She has only been longtrack speed skating for four months.
