Drake Announces New Album Called Scorpion

Drake fans will have more to listen to than “Nice For What” on repeat soon enough: A new album is coming, and it’s coming soon.

Drake announced that his next album, Scorpion, will see its release in June. He revealed the name and drop date with a simple photo has the rapper turning his back to the camera in order to show the back of his black satin jacket, which is emblazoned with Scorpion’s release info.

The Scorpion news comes hot on the heels of Drake’s latest chart triumph, as he just bumped himself from the top spot on the Billboard Hot 100: “Nice For What” debuts at No. 1 in the current tally, with his prior single “God’s Plan” sitting comfortably in the runner-up slot at No. 2.

He’s been hinting at that the follow-up to 2017’s More Life would be arriving imminently back in April, and Instagram once again served as the bearer of good news for Drizzy fans eager for new music: He posted a photo of himself looking especially tired with the caption “You can see the album hours under my eyes” back in April. He followed that up with the surprise release of “Nice For What” — along with its star-packed video featuring Issa Rae, Yara Shahidi, Rashida Jones, Tiffany Haddish, Olivia Wilde and more — a few days later.

It’s Your World.
