Cardi B’s “Invasion Of Privacy” Goes Gold On First Day

Cardi B has barely had time to rest her eyes after a night of dancing in the big apple, in celebration of her landmark debut. According to RIAA calculations Invasion Of Privacy is already a Gold-certified record before many have even had a chance to listen.

Her inclusion of “Bodak Yellow” in the final draft of the album gave her a push coming out the gate. You see, “Bodak Yellow” already carries with it 500,000 units sold. So technically speaking, Invasion of Privacy was a Gold Certified album that moment it was released.

Although “Bodak Yellow’s” units sold will not count toward her first week sales, they do give her a distinctive honor. Most rappers would be quick to capitalize off a breakout single, Cardi’s patience has paid dividends.

Invasion Of Privacy is out today, where records are sold. The album features also feature her second single “Bartier Cardi,” as well as a slew of big-name appearances from Kehlani, Chance the Rapper, YG, Bad Bunny, J Balvin, SZA, and more.

It’s Your World.
