Black Lightning brings major ratings to the CW.

Black Lightning Is CWs Strongest Premiere in 2 Years

On Tuesday, Black lightning premiered on the CW and brought in very impressive numbers. They brought in a whopping 2.31 million viewers and a 0.8 rating in the 18-49 demographic. Those particular numbers are the highest for any non-crossover episode of TV in the 9PM Tuesday night slot this season.

This marks the biggest success since Legends of Tomorrow’s premiere brought in 3.2 million viewers a couple of years ago.

Black Lightning is based on the DC Comics character with the same name. It was developed by Salim Akil and is executive produced by his wife, Mara Brock Akil. The stars include Cress Williams as Black Lightning, Nafessa Williams, China Anne McClain, Marvin Jones III, Christine Adams, James Remar and Damon Gupton.

We wish the show much more success.
