President Trump fired the acting attorney general Monday night after she refused to defend the immigration ban.

Acting Attorney General Sally Yates Fired for Refusing to Enforce Controversial Immigration Ban

An issued statement from the White House declared that Sally Q. Yates, betrayed the Department of Justice by announcing that Justice Department lawyers would not defend a recently signed executive order. Her current replacement is Dana J. Boente, the United States attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia who was sworn in at 9PM.

Yates disagreed with the lawful standing of the executive order and felt as though it was rushed through without proper vetting.
